Julia Norton VMD is a 1991 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. She has worked for the last 33 years in a mix of general practice and emergency medicine. Her interests include emergency medicine, animal behavior, dog training, and feline medicine. Hobbies include canine obedience, tracking, working trials, and breeding her four German shepherds. Additionally, she has had several Maine Coon cats and patiently humors her husband’s chickens. Four dogs from previous litters in her breeding program graduated from the University of Pennsylvania’s working dog program and work with police departments throughout the Northeast. She is the proud mother of three children, two pursuing research careers in Boston.
