George Motley
Dr. George Motley is a Pennsylvania guy through and through. He grew up in nearby Lansdale, attending LaSalle College High School in Wyndmoor, received his undergraduate degree at Penn State University (B.S. In Biology with Honors in Film and Video), and earned his veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1998.
After a brief 3-year stint in New Jersey as a new veterinary graduate, Dr. Motley returned home to Pennsylvania in 2001. He has accumulated over 17+ years of experience in emergency and multi-specialty medicine and 10+ years in general practice. He enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine with special interests in preventative medicine, surgery, internal medicine, and geriatric care.
Dr. Motley believes in working closely with clients and their pets to provide the best care suited to the patients' individual circumstances and needs. From puppyhood to adulthood, he endeavors to enhance the human-animal bond by providing the best health care possible through a strong focus on preventative health care, diligent monitoring, and early intervention for disease. He believes healthy and happy pets make for healthy and happy people.
In the later years of your pets' lives, Dr. Motley strives to extend their longevity by maximizing their quality of life and, when the time comes, ultimately provide guidance for comfortable, compassionate, and dignified end-of-life care.
In his spare time, Dr. Motley loves spending time with his family and friends, including his dog Kanan. A "four-for-four" guy, he enjoys rooting for our Philadelphia sports teams, particularly the Phillies. He loves movies and firmly believes everything you need to know about life you can learn from Star Wars. On his spare time, he is and avid fisherman and enjoys playing Texas Hold-Em.
