Dr. Ilan Cohen, VMD
Ilan Cohen is a 1996 summa cum laude graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. He is especially interested in soft-tissue surgery, pain management, and anesthesia. Prior to starting with Dr. Hunt in 2005, Dr. Cohen practiced in Santa Fe and New York. Dr. Cohen lives in Bala Cynwyd with his wife, three boys, and dog, Yofi. He enjoys mountain-biking, backpacking, snow-boarding, and almost any other outdoor activity. Playing guitar is his favorite rainy day hobby.
Dr. Asal Caskey, VMD
Dr. Asal Caskey is a 2009 graduate from the University of Pennsylvania. After graduating, she completed a one year rotating medical and surgical internship at CARES, a specialty center in Langhorne, PA. She spent the next three years working as an emergency veterinarian for Red Bank Veterinary Associates in Linwood, NJ. Dr. Caskey joined St. George Hunt Memorial in the fall of 2013. She lives in Villanova with her husband and two young daughters, as well as her dog Wall-E (mixed breed) She enjoys gardening, cooking, and watching movies.
Dr. Melinda Atherton, VMD
Melinda Atherton graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2012. She spent the next 6 years practicing in Ontario, Canada in both a general clinic and an emergency hospital. In the past decade, she has lived in three different countries but is happy to be returning to the USA. Melinda has a strong interest in emergency medicine and soft tissue surgery. While building relationships with patients and clients, she gets to see puppies and kittens grow into adults-which is the best part of her job! Outside of the office, she and her husband fill their days entertaining their young son, Fraser and rescue pups Stanley and Pug. In any remaining free time, Melinda enjoys cooking, baking, cycling and card making.
